ABOUT DUSTIN POGUE
Dustin Pogue is a financial researcher and economic analyst whose work focuses on the underlying structures that shape markets, industries, and long-term economic behavior. His approach emphasizes disciplined study, historical perspective, and a commitment to understanding the deeper forces that influence financial systems.
His perspective has been shaped by a combination of extensive independent research and professional experience in the financial sector. He has served as both a banker and a Financial Advisor, roles that provided firsthand exposure to capital flow, portfolio decision-making, client behavior, and the practical realities that guide financial planning and institutional processes. These experiences offered a grounded understanding of how individuals and organizations respond to risk, uncertainty, and long-term strategic choices.
Beyond his professional background, Dustin has contributed to financial education through his involvement with Opportunities Unlimited for the Blind, a Michigan-based nonprofit serving children nationwide. There, he taught financial literacy classes designed to help young people—particularly those with limited resources or accessibility challenges—develop the foundational skills needed to navigate personal finance and economic decision-making. This work reinforced his belief in the importance of clarity, structure, and accessibility in financial understanding.
Much of Dustin’s current research is informed by the older traditions of economic study: careful reading, long-form analysis, and a focus on fundamentals rather than short-term market noise. He studies economic history, market structure, policy development, and strategic theory to develop a broader, long-view understanding of how financial and economic trends evolve over time.
This website serves as a platform for his ongoing research, writing, and multi-year projects now under development:
- Collins Capital & Co. — a developing research institution focused on economic analysis and strategic insight
- The Atlas Project — an intelligence and modeling framework examining structural forces shaping economies, governments, and long-term outcomes
- The MILE Project — research centered on Manufacturing, Infrastructure, Logistics, and Energy, the core pillars of national and regional strength
Dustin’s work is guided by a central belief:
that clarity, structure, and long-term perspective remain the foundation of sound analysis in a complex and changing world.
